Poem



The flowers chill (A)
Beneath the hill (A)
A crystal hail it falls (B)
In a warming sound it calls (B)

In my palm I fell (C)
The softness that it bell (C)
With the spade it digs (D)
In the cellar sound of hiss. (D)


  • Chill - a feeling of being cold.
  • Hill - an area of sloping  ground on a road or path.
  • Hail - precipitation in the form of small balls or lumps usually consisting of concentric layers of  clear ice and compact snow.
  • Palm - the somewhat concave part of the human hand between the bases of the fingers and the wrist or the corresponding part of the forefoot.
